Happy Sunday! I hope you all had a great first week of 2017! I feel like this week flew by for me. There was just a lot of planning and getting things together that needed to be done and next thing I know it was Friday lol.
Today I wanted to share with you all the story behind MissJoanaXoXo. I have been blogging on and off for many years. I started my fashion blog “Fashion Buzz” over on Blogger in 2013. Prior to that I had a creative writing blog where I would post poems and short stories.
I have always had a strong passion for fashion (cliche, I know) but seriously. I would constantly get asked tips on how to style certain fashion items. I would literally help friends plan weekly outfits and I truly enjoyed it so much. Many people would tell me that I should get involved in the fashion industry because I would come up with the most creative outfits. I knew then, that I loved assisting others with styling tips and
tricks.
I used to spend a lot of time creating outfits on Polyvore, which lead me to creating my first fashion blog (Fashion Buzz). At that time, I had a lot of things going on in my life which made it hard to stay 100% focused and dedicating to creating content for my blog. I would go months and sometimes years without posting 😦 But in the back of my head it was always something I wanted to go back to.
In October 2015, I started a fashion and lifestyle blog with a friend of mine at the time. Long story short things didn’t work out and I had to start from the bottom on my own. I decided I wasn’t going to let one simple let down stop me from pursuing what I was passionate about.
I wanted to be able to share my fashion tips and life journey with others in hopes of being an inspiration to someone. So, in March 2016 I created MissJoanaXoXo, it was a huge leap of faith. The first few months were hard because it was hard for me to get on a consistent schedule. On July 2016, I went from missjoanaxoxo.wordpress.com to missjoanaxoxo.com. I decided to invest on my blog because I knew that it would make me more accountable.
I started posting more consistently and soon I realized people were actually reading my blog. That made me truly happy. Fast forward to today my blog has come a long way. I have met so many amazing people through blogging and have experienced many great things. Most importantly, I know it has inspired some of you which means I’ve done my job. I hope I can continue to inspire you as I continue to grow.

Happy Wednesday! Ahh first Wednesday of 2017! How is your week so far? I’ve been doing a lot of planning and school stuff (I graduate in May!) so it’s been a busy past few days. I am so excited for this year, I know so many great things are coming and I can’t wait 🙂
Today I wanted to share this chic street style outfit. I am seriously obsessed with it, it’s super easy to put together and head out.
Can we just take moment to appreciate the beauty of a bag 😍 !! I am honored to have the opportunity to partner up with Coach as they celebrate their 75th anniversary. They sent me this gorgeous, classic Saddle bag & it has seriously been my go-to bag lately! I love how spacious it is while still remaining small enough to not be too bulky. It’s seriously the perfect bag for the on-the-go chic gal 😉
I am also super obsessed with my pointed toe heels! They have the Chanel nude and black pump vibe to them 😉 They are from JustFab and I purchased them a few years back so they are no longer being sold :(. I found some great dupes for the Chanel ones here and here.
What makes this whole look street style and casual is that I paired it with high-waisted jeans and a simple mock neck top.
I am currently loving my coat my sister got me for Christmas this year! It is perfect for chilly days to keep you warm. I just threw this casually over my shoulders to add that chic vibe 😉
This is the perfect casual look for brunch with the girls, a date with your boo or if you simply feel like dressing up like a BOSS babe 😘

Happy Wednesday! I can’t believe Christmas is over and gone 😦 This means it’s time to start preparing for the New Year 😮
This year seriously flew by! Ahhh. Have you planned what you are wearing for your New Year’s Eve party or gathering? I have created two lovely looks for the NYE celebrations. I’m still not sure which one of the two to wear. Let me know which one is your fave 🙂
The first look includes a gorgeous white and gold dress. It is perfect for any event where you have to dress up (specially NYE parties).
Although the dress is beautiful on its own, I decided to pair it with these pumps from Steve Madden. Velvet anything is my current obsession and these pumps are sure to be the center of attention!
It is also very important to pick the perfect accessories for your NYE festivities. I chose to wear my favorite bracelet and watch paired with my black handbag (it’s tiny but so many things fit and it’s super convenient).
The second look is so classy! I am obsessed with it! This shimmery swing dress is perfect for NYE.
For accessories, I used the bracelet I wore in the first outfit as a choker (isn’t it awesome that it doubles as a choker!?). And kept the same rose gold watch and black handbag.
I decided to keep the heels a neutral color to allow the dress to be the center of attention for this look!

Happy Sunday! I hope you all had a great weekend. I can’t believe Christmas is exactly ONE week away! I am not even done Christmas shopping ahhhh! So much to do, so little time!
Today I wanted to share this cute floral bell sleeve dress (who says you can’t wear florals in the Winter time?!). Winter season is officially here in 3 days! So I thought it would be perfect to show you how I styled my dress 🙂
The perfect thing about this dress is that though it has floral print on it the colors are very subtle and can be transitioned into a winter look. I love the detail on the neckline!
I styled it with my OTK boots, who else is obsessed with a good pair of boots?! I think this pair goes perfect with the dress. Since they are over the knee boots the cover most of your legs and keep you warmer on those cold days/nights. Today I wanted to share this cute and chic outfit of the day. I love putting together an outfit with one color in two or more different shades. In this case the color I picked was green. It is also perfect for this season! My green sweater is from Cotton On purchased last season but you can find similar ones here and here. The green knit skirt is from Forever21 it is on SALE now 50% off so check it out ;). On my lips I wore Maybelline’s Color Sensational in the shade Blissful Berry. The choker was made by me 😉
To keep the shades of green balanced I decided to pair it with my nude wedges and my Kate Spade crossbody. This look can seriously be worn for any occasion. I wore this for church, brunch and running errands today! The wedges are perfect for busy days because they are so comfy and you won’t get tired throughout the day but you can totally opt for some nude flats if you want 🙂
